Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 27, 2026
1. Introduction
Venezia LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) is the data controller for personal information collected through the Austral Audio website at store.zecca.cc and the plugin software distributed through it.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. For payment-related data, Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our Merchant of Record, acts as an independent data controller.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, name, and avatar when you create an account.
- Support communications: emails and messages you send to our support team.
Information Collected Automatically (Website)
- Analytics data: page views and site usage collected through analytics tools.
- IP addresses: collected during downloads and site visits.
- Cookies: see our Cookie Policy for details.
Information Collected Automatically (Plugin Software)
- Machine fingerprint: a one-way cryptographic hash of hardware identifiers. We cannot reverse it to identify specific hardware.
- Machine name: the hostname of your computer.
- Operating system: type and version.
- DAW information: the digital audio workstation hosting the plugin.
- Timestamps: last seen and heartbeat timestamps for license validation.
Information from Third Parties
- Payment processor (Paddle): payment status, subscription state, and transaction identifiers. Paddle handles all payment card data directly.
- Authentication provider: authentication data and session information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Service.
- Process subscriptions and manage your account.
- Authenticate your identity and maintain session security.
- Enforce licensing terms, including machine activation limits and trial restrictions.
- Send transactional emails such as account confirmations.
- Analyze site usage and improve our Service.
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service and fulfill your subscription.
- Legitimate interest: analytics, fraud prevention, and licensing enforcement.
- Consent: non-essential cookies and analytics tracking (where required).
- Legal obligation: tax compliance (handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record).
5. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We share data with the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the platform:
| Category | Data Shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Payment processor (Paddle) | Email, payment data, billing address | Payment processing, tax |
| Authentication provider | Email, name, avatar, session data | Authentication |
| Cloud hosting & database | Account data, activations, license data | Infrastructure, data storage |
| Analytics provider | Page views, usage events | Product analytics |
| Email provider | Email address | Transactional emails |
| CDN / file storage | Plugin binaries | File delivery |
6. Machine Fingerprinting
Our plugin software collects a machine fingerprint to enforce licensing. This fingerprint is a one-way cryptographic hash derived from hardware identifiers — it cannot be reversed to identify your specific hardware components.
Machine fingerprints are used to enforce trial limits (one trial per device) and activation limits (up to 3 machines per subscription). You can view and deactivate machines at any time from your dashboard.
7. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account.
- Trial records: retained permanently to enforce the one-trial-per-device limit.
- Download logs: retained for audit and security purposes.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data is primarily processed in the United States. If you are located outside the USA, your information is transferred to and processed in the USA. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards for international data transfers where required by applicable law.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your personal data (right to be forgotten).
- Restrict the processing of your data.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@store.zecca.cc.
10. Your Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
- Delete your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal data.
- Non-discrimination — you will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
13. Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all communications and one-way hashing for hardware identifiers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by email or notice through the Service.
